I recently visited Gan Shan Station to sample its new menu and I was absolutely wowed by the refined, flavorful small plates and snacks that we tried.
My favorite was the Sesame Noodle – a chilled bowl of chewy noodles in a delicious sesame sauce with scallions and a crisp chili topping. I’ll be returning for a rerun of that dish as soon as possible. The Chili Cumin Ribs were a close second favorite for us, with a crispy cumin-infused coating. We also enjoyed the house-made dumplings, Thai Wraps, and the Black Vinegar Deviled Eggs.
For me, the best part was that the menu items I tried had intense and interesting flavors with the right amount of heat, but weren’t so hot as to leave my mouth fiery. The dishes were edited and focused but also complex. I’m eager to go back and have some of these dishes again, but also try others on the menu I didn’t have a chance to sample on this last visit.
If you haven’t been to Gan Shan Station since it unveiled its new menu my advice is to go there, and soon! You won’t be disappointed.
