I don’t go to High Five just for the coffee.

Over the years, I’ve discovered that the more people I talk to, the more people I come to care about. ⁣⁣

The thing with High Five Coffee is, they do the same. I’ve come to know the names of the people who work there, and they know my name and that I have four kids (even if they can’t remember all THEIR names!) ⁣⁣

I love the coziness of the Rankin Ave location downtown. ⁣⁣

The big windows, fun window seats and patio seating with huge crepe myrtles at the Broadway location. ⁣⁣

And the serene setting on the French Broad River at the Riverside location. ⁣⁣

They have the usual brewed coffee, espresso, lattes, and mochas… but have you had a Diablo?! ⁣

Every week, High Five has one of their awesome bar-certified baristas craft a Barista’s Choice.

These cocktail-inspired drinks pair coffee with seasonal ingredients to make some unique combinations! Like the one pictured above by Jamie … the Mousse-tachio.  A mousse made with avocado, pistachio, banana and coconut milk is shaken with espresso and oat milk and poured over ice. Served with a garnish of kiwi, mousse, and pistachios!!

Mind. Blown!

I look forward to Mondays just to see what the new Barista’s Choice will be!! ⁣

They also serve lots of local treats and goodies with gluten-free and vegan options, if you need a little something to munch on.

High Five also does a lot of good for our community… they recently helped CIMA raise money for families torn apart by immigration laws. I’ve seen them donate to lots of different local causes!

But it really comes down to the people. Putting a name with that smile, and then a story. Before you know it, you’ll be seeing your High Five friends all around town. And you’ll say hi or hug… or talk forever.

Go to High Five and tell them the crazy lady with four kids and likes to talk everyone’s ear off sent you!
